Is This the Snyder Cult’s Last Stand?
In recent weeks, the Snyder Groupies have launched a major push to resurrect their beloved franchise using old and newish hashtags
#SellZSJLtoNetflix
#RestoreTheSnyderVerse
It’s like 2021 all over again!
Some claim it’s because of the looming Warner Bros. Discovery sale… that maybe, just maybe, this is their window.
But in reality… this isn’t their big comeback. It’s their last stand.
Let’s face it, James Gunn’s DCU is fine.
Hell, it’s thriving. Between Creature Commandos, Superman, and Peacemaker Season 2, and now the next two years of DC’s cinematic slate everything is looking solid.
The tone’s fresh, the stories are promising, and, whether the haters like it or not, audiences are actually excited again.
Sure, not every project will be a home run, but even in a worst case scenario, the odds of a full SnyderVerse revival are about as likely as Jared Leto’s Joker headlining a musical.
And here’s the thing… the Snyder Groupies know this. That’s why they’re pushing so hard right now.
The twisting of narratives, the bizarre “data” they manufacture, the conspiracy level optimism… it’s all a symptom of denial.
They’re clinging to nostalgia while the rest of the world has moved on… Ironic isn’t it?
What’s crazy though is, we’ve seen this before.
When Discovery merged with Warner Bros., these same fans were convinced David Zaslav was their savior.
They flooded timelines with claims of secret meetings between Zaslav and Snyder, of “multi-year plans” to bring back Batfleck, Cavill, and the rest of the SnyderVerse lineup.
None of it was true. And when reality finally hit? They turned on Zaslav… viciously.
Because here’s the truth, the Snyder Groupies were lied to.
They were manipulated by grifters and self proclaimed “scoopers” who saw clicks and cash in keeping the dream alive. But instead of learning from it, they doubled down… louder, meaner, and more toxic than before.
Fast forward to today. WBD is on the edge of another ownership shake up, and the pattern’s repeating. But this time, the movement’s a shadow of its former self.
Every new iteration, from #ReleaseTheSnyderCut to #RestoreTheSnyderVerse to the current “#Sell” campaigns, has gotten less organized and more unhinged.
It’s no longer about art, it’s about ego.
And the sad irony? This really is the end of the road.
Because if Netflix, Paramount, or any other company does buy WBD’s assets, they’re not going to cater to these people. Why would they?
Look what happened to Zaslav!
He didn’t promise them anything, didn’t even mention them and they still tore him apart.
If these studios are smart, they’ll stay as far away from this chaos as possible.
The truth is, these “fans” don’t want storytelling… they want control.
They act as if DC executives personally wronged them, like they’re owed retribution for not getting Zack Snyder’s Justice League 2.
But they’re not owed a damn thing.
This is it.
The movement’s final act. One last desperate attempt to stay relevant before the industry closes the curtain on a saga that’s dragged on far too long.
And while the noise might get louder before it dies down, one thing’s for sure… it will die down.
Because the DCU is moving forward. The fanbase is healthier. The creators are freer.
And the Snyder Cult?
They’re just fighting ghosts.
