Chapter 4 - Zack Snyder’s Justice League 3

DC

Six Issue Series

Justice League 3 would be the definitive conclusion to the SnyderVerse saga.

Structured not as a traditional superhero sequel but as an epic war film. This is the final chapter where every vision, warning, prophecy, and nightmare collides.

At its core, this is ultimately a Superman story and a bookend to a universe that began with his arrival in Man of Steel.

The comic opens with inevitability hanging over everything. Bruce Wayne has received the message from Barry Allen confirming that the Knightmare future is real, imminent, and preventable. This time, Bruce is no longer reacting. He is resolved. He knows exactly what must be done, even if it costs him everything.

Darkseid arrives on Earth as foretold, boom tubing directly into the Batcave itself. History threatens to repeat. Lois Lane is the target and the fulcrum of reality. But this time, Bruce is ready.

In the chaos and crossfire, Batman succeeds.

Bruce Wayne sacrifices himself to save Lois Lane, breaking the chain of events that would have led Superman into despair, enslavement, and the fall of Earth.

In that instant, the Knightmare timeline is erased from existence. The future rewrites itself through a single act of defiance and love.

With the nightmare gone, Superman finally becomes who he was always meant to be.

No longer burdened by fear or doubt, Clark Kent steps fully into his role as Earth’s protector, not just as a hero but as a leader. He unites the Justice League and, for the first time in history, stands at the head of the armed forces of mankind.

Wonder Woman ascends as Queen of Themyscira. Aquaman reigns as King of Atlantis. The world’s nations, the Amazons, the Atlanteans, and metahumans all rally together.

It is the ancient alliance reborn.

The final two issues are a colossal, globe spanning war. Darkseid’s armada descends upon Earth in full force, and the battlefield becomes the planet itself. Boom tubes tear open the sky. Parademons flood the continents. The New Gods march.

And mankind stands its ground.

In a pivotal turn, Lex Luthor plays a crucial role in humanity’s survival. Acting from a place that aligns with his own warped sense of altruism, Lex infiltrates Darkseid’s mothership, planting explosives that cripple the armada from within. His actions turn the tide of the war, proving that even in his own way, Lex has always believed he was saving humanity.

Together, the united forces of Earth finally put an end to Darkseid once and for all.

The war is over. The age of fear is finished.

In the aftermath, Clark and Lois name their son Bruce Kent, honoring the man whose sacrifice saved the world. Gotham mourns its fallen guardian, but the symbol of Batman does not die with Bruce Wayne. Barbara Gordon steps forward, becoming the successor to the mantle and protecting Gotham while carrying Bruce’s legacy forward.

The film closes with a quiet, powerful epilogue set twenty years later.

Clark and Lois bring their son to the Batcave. They speak not of weapons or vengeance, but of ideals, responsibility, and sacrifice. Bruce Kent does not inherit his father’s Kryptonian powers. He is fully human. Under the mentorship of Barbara Gordon, he chooses to take up the cowl.

Not because he was destined to.

But because he believes in it.

Justice League 3 ends not with gods ruling over men, but with humanity standing tall, inspired by heroes who proved that hope, choice, and sacrifice are stronger than fate itself.
